FAQs

Got a question for us? It might be covered below. If it’s not, please get in touch and we’ll do our best to help.

I’m nervous about making this much of an investment. How do I know it will be worth it?

We hear you, investing your time and money in something IS a big deal and it’s not something you should do lightly. You also have lots of other courses to choose from! We’ve created something special and can tell you from personal experience we’ve never regretted investing in ourselves or our dreams. If you feel this course aligns with your goals, both personally and professionally, you won’t regret it.

I have a busy life – what’s the time commitment?

One hour a week on Zoom. That’s it! We don’t want to take you away from what lies at the crux of your success: the writing itself. We have however built a community for you participate in with weekly goal setting and reflection, as well as opportunities to share and support each other. The more you put into this the more you’ll get out, but if you have a couple of weeks were life takes over that’s ok. We’ll be here to cheer you on and bring you back to your targets, applauding when you do rather than berating when you don’t.

Can I cancel if I decide it’s not for me?

Unfortunately no. We are looking for people who are committed to this journey and are only taking a small number of participants, because we want it to be really special. Watch our webinar, read our materials and reach out if you have any questions. Once you’re in, you’re in (and it will be magic).

What if I’m writing something that’s not a fiction novel?

Again, all good. The great thing about this course is that it isn’t built around teaching masterclasses, although we will share lots of things about the craft of writing we find inspiring. This course will support anyone who is working on a big project and wants encouragement and support to get it done.

What if I’m nervous about sharing my work? The very thought of it gives me the shakes and means I want to crawl back under the duvet.

That’s ok. It’s natural to be nervous, we were the first time we shared our work with others. However, the only way out is through – to grow as a writer you need feedback from readers. The good news is you might truly learn to love this process. Through our structured feedback system your work will be nurtured and shaped, rather than torn apart. Plus in our Write to Thrive sessions we’ll explore what beliefs keep us from having confidence in ourselves and begin to override them. Yes, it really is possible!

Do I have to share my personal journaling?

Never! While we open up the circle to discuss experiences at the end of each session your reflections remain private, unless you choose to share them.
